Hi, I’m Brooklynn, the maker behind Foibles.
Foibles are handmade one-of-one art plushies created in Vancouver, BC.
Each Foible is made using found and reclaimed materials: quilter’s off-cuts, hand-me-down fabric, thrifted blankets, robes and pajamas, inherited button collections, discarded textiles, and other recovered objects.
The name “Foibles” comes from the small flaws, peculiar habits, and awkward emotional qualities that make people interesting.
Every Foible is permanently documented in the archive. Even after they are sold, traded, or rehomed, they remain part of the collection’s living history.
I started this project as a creative outlet and as a way to connect with other artists, makers, and collectors through trade, barter, and creative exchange. If you have ideas, collaborations, or interesting offerings in mind, I’d love to hear from you.

These plushies are handmade art pieces created slowly and intentionally.
I love connceting via local meetups, creative trades, commissions, and conversations with other artists, collectors etc.
If you are interested in an available Foible or a custom one, please reference the name and #
If you’re interested in getting a commission made, describe what you’re thinking or reference existing Foibles from the shop or archive
Thanks so much!
